Tolvaddon Community Fire Station

Tolvaddon Community Fire Station is a shift station with 24 hour immediate response provided by wholetime firefighters supported by an additional crew of on-call firefighters.

We welcome applications from anyone interested in becoming an on-call firefighter. All shortlisted applicants will be invited to an assessment interview (regardless of whether there is a vacancy at the station or not). Suitable applicants will be invited to the (twice yearly) assessment centres and if successful they will be placed in the Talent Pool to be selected for progression to the Approved to Ride Course as and when an appropriate vacancy at their Fire Station arises

In addition to responding to National Campaigns, personnel at Tolvaddon frequently visit children's groups to talk about fire safety issues, carry out door to door visits to undertake free fire safety checks and to give advice on installing and maintaining smoke alarms and participation in local events to promote fire safety in the home.

Tolvaddon Community Fire Station have a unique resource called early learning fire safety - elfs, which is available to borrow free of charge by all early years establishments (including: nurseries, pre-schools, child minder's).
