An assessment centre will be arranged for all applicants to attend.  The tests are timed and the session will take approximately three hours to complete.  There is a practise booklet and we recommended that you read this carefully and undertake the sample tests given.

The tests are used as they provide objective, fair and relevant information on the key personal qualities and attributes (PQAs) needed to become a successful Firefighter.  Each test is assessed separately but will be looked at together to form an overall measure of your suitability to become a firefighter.

The tests are paper based and full instructions will be given on how to complete them prior to commencement of each test.

We will consider reasonable adjustments for any person who has a disability as defined by the Equality Act (2010).
