  • Know where you nearest fire exit is.
  • Plan how you are going to get back to your accommodation at the end of the night, never walk back alone.
  • Be aware that if you are under 18, you are considered to be a child in law.
  • If you are under 18, make sure the accommodation owners or people running the premises know your age and who has parental responsibility for you.
  • If you are under 18 your parent or guardian will need to give permission for you to book into accommodation if they are not accompanying you on holiday. They will need to complete and sign a booking consent form.

Cornwall Council and the Cornwall Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) advise parents against allowing young people to come to Cornwall on holiday unaccompanied.
