The full electoral register

The full electoral register lists the names and addresses of everyone registered to vote at elections.

The register is also used for other limited legal activities, such as:

  • preventing or detecting crime (such as fraud)
  • calling people for jury service
  • checking credit applications

The application takes 5 minutes to complete. You will need your National Insurance number.

Please note: When an election is due, the deadline to apply to register is 12 working days before polling day.

We publish the annual register in December. From January to September, we update the register every month.

To be added to the register on the first working day of the following month, we must receive your application to register by the deadline in the table below.
