Historic Buildings
Working with Historic buildings and industrial structures can be very daunting. Many of our historic structures are protected by national or local legislation and understanding what is and is not possible can be tricky. CAU have been working with individuals, developers, planners and legislative bodies for over 30 years, enabling development and helping people get the best experience from their homes whilst safeguarding the heritage that make these fantastic structures so valuable. We offer two key services;
- Heritage Statements or Heritage Impact Assessments (HIA)
- Historic Building Recording
Other services offered include Desk Based Assessments (DBA), measured and topographical surveys, detailed condition surveys, Conservation Management Plans (CMP), contributions to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and archaeological watching briefs.
