Part 2 - Local Flood Risk Management Profiles
These Flood Risk Management Profiles form Part 2 of the Cornwall Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.
The purpose of the profiles is to record information relevent to flood risk management that is specific to each community and to bring together that information from numerous different sources. They therefore provide a single repository of flood risk data for ease of reference. They are supported by Cornwall Council's strategic flood risk mapping facility.
They include the flood maps for the community together with flood resilience and defence assets. Community flood risk profiles are created with participation from the communities at risk to include their priorities for action.
The Profiles are being prepared for the highest risk communities that were identified within the Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment and using the Council's risk mapping tool.
The Profiles also provide the evidence base to inform the Annual Action Plan, which is Part 3 of the Local Strategy.
The Profiles will be "living documents" that are updated as new information becomes available. Draft profiles will be presented here as they are created. The profiles have three stages:
- Technical draft
- Community review
- Live document
