Cornwall Council and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership (CIoSLNP) have published their first Monitoring and Evaluation Framework report in 2020. This is to measure progress of the Environmental Growth Strategy, and to see how Cornwall’s environment is faring over time.

This report details the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These have been developed to help measure environmental trends in Cornwall.

There are many projects underway across Cornwall helping to drive our KPIs in the right direction. But there is still much more to do to ensure that we grow nature and face up to the ecological emergency.

That’s why in late 2019 and early 2020, Cornwall will be one of 5 areas in the country to pilot a Local Nature Recovery Strategy. This will help us gather the evidence and define our priorities for helping nature recovery in the future. It will also further keep our KPIs on a positive course.
