St Erme Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan
St Erme Parish Council agreed to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for the St Erme area. This was agreed at a Parish Council Meeting held on 1 February 2016. This page provides you with information on the St Erme Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Neighbourhood Plan Adoption
St Erme Parish Neighbourhood Development plan is now formally made. This can be used from 30th October 2019 as part of the development plan in development management decisions in the St Erme Neighbourhood Plan Area. The adopted neighbourhood plan, report and decision notice is available to download below:

Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
St Erme Neighbourhood Plan Referendum was held on 17th October 2019. The plan was successful at referendum and the result was:
- Number cast in favour of 'Yes': 256
- Number cast in favour of 'No': 31

Neighbourhood Plan Examination
The St Erme Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan Examination has been completed. The independent examiner appointed to carry out the examination was Andrew Ashcroft. The NDP documents can be downloaded below:

An initial assessment of the neighbourhood plan, background evidence and representations was completed. Following this, the examiner raised a number of initial questions. The questions and response can be viewed below.
Neighbourhood Plan Proposal Statutory Consultation
The St Erme Neighbourhood Development Plan was formally submitted on 14 March 2019 for their designated Neighbourhood Development Plan Area, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
Cornwall Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan for the St Erme Parish area. The Consultation ran between Thursday 4 April and 16 May 2019 for a six weeks period. During the Consultation, you could comment by e-mail, by typing the Neighbourhood Planning application number PA19/00011/NDP into the online planning register, or by sending us your response in writing.
The plan proposal includes a copy of a map and statement which identifies the area to which the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan relates; a consultation statement; the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan, the Local Landscape Character Assessment stage 1 and 2 documents, an Evidence base document and a statement explaining how the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan meets the requirements of paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the 1990 Act (the Basic Conditions Statement).

Neighbourhood Area Designation
St Erme Parish Council applied to Cornwall Council to designate the parish of St Erme as a Neighbourhood Area. This is in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.
The Council consulted residents and other interested stakeholders on the designation of this area between Thursday 31 March and 12 May 2016. Copies of the application were available to download during the consultation period from the Planning register. (Planning application PA16/00004/NDP).
