Partnership Boards
Four Partnership Boards, administered by Healthwatch Cornwall, exist within Adult Commissioning and Transformation:
- Carers Partnership Board
- Autism Partnership Board
- Learning Disability Partnership Board
- Older Persons' Partnership Board
Information on each Board, including meeting agendas and minutes, can be accessed via the links in the menu.
Healthwatch Cornwall was commissioned by Cornwall Council to carry out a comprehensive review of the Partnership Boards.
The review told us that the Partnership Boards were not working as well as they could. The lack of a defined governance structure and a lay membership lacking diversity was highlighted. the report is available to read on the Healthwatch Cornwall website.
Partnership Board Officers Nuala Kiely and Mike Hooper are coordinating these changes, working to get 'the right people in the right place' to maximise the ability of the Boards to comment, question and co-design effectively. It had been intended that an overarching Board would be operational by the summer, along with a refresh of both the Terms of Reference for each Board and the Board member role descriptions. Implementation was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New timescales will be detailed here at the earliest opportunity.
