The purpose for collecting the information is for the processing of HMO licence application.

Cornwall Council is required under Housing Act 2004 to publish a public record of all licensed houses in multiple occupation. The register must contain detail which is specified in the Statutory Instrument issued in 2006 (SI 373).

We may also use the information to consult with you on changes to legislation and to request feedback on our service.

As part of that purpose, information collected may be shared within the Council. We may also have to share/and or check information with other authorities, such as the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Office of Fair Trading, Inland Revenue etc. All personal information held by Cornwall Council is held safely in a secure environment. Your information will be held for the term of your HMO Licence.
