What does the Culture and Creative Economy Team do?
Our ambition is for Cornwall to be the leading rural creative economy. We work in collaboration to support and grow the creative and cultural sector in a way that improves the economic, social and cultural well-being of all communities across Cornwall. We are part of the Council’s Economic Growth Service.
Our role is to support and advocate our distinct Cornish creative and cultural sectors. Our current portfolio of investments includes various cultural and creative projects across Cornwall.
This year we will be developing our Creative Manifesto, a new strategy for Cornwall Council that will outline and explain our priorities and plans for the next five years. Find out more soon about our team’s priorities and developments.
Our team encompasses:
- The Culture and Creative Industries Partnerships Team
- Kresen Kernow - Cornwall Archives and Cornish Studies Service
- The Cornish Mining World Heritage Site Office
- The Cornish Language Office
We also invest in museums all across Cornwall and work closely with Cornwall Museums Partnership. We also have connections with Music Education Hub, Libraries and the Heritage Team who sit within different services areas within the Council.
Please note that we are currently re-building our webpages to reflect our current work and direction. We will be adding more content in the near future. Meur ras for your patience!
