Penryn Library and Information Service

Penryn Library and Information Service is managed by Penryn Town Council.  It is supported by Cornwall Council.

Penryn Library is open during the current lock down with a click and collect service. You can order books online then go to your nominated library to collect from the lobby. You can also return items and place them in the black bin provided in the foyer. Regular library activities, such as story-time sessions, will have to wait until we can fully reopen. They cannot go ahead until it is safe. Please keep an eye on social media posts and publicity.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer access to the public computers at the present time.

The Information Service remains closed. The click and collect service is only for library books.

For your convenience there are a range of PayPoint and Post Office sites that accept both cash and card payments. Most Post Offices are still accepting cheques at no extra cost.  Your account will be updated overnight and many PayPoint stores have longer opening hours. Often including weekends, offering greater flexibility and choice. Head over to my area to see which facilities are available to you more locally.

  • Customer computer for browsing and reserving items from the Library Catalogue
  • Computers with internet access
  • Free Wi-fi
  • Scanning, printing and photocopying
  • National Concessionary bus pass applications are quick and easy to apply for online. 
  • Recycling bags and boxes can be ordered direct using the request recycling equipment / recycling containment online form.
