The project at Loggans Moor is part of the Hayle Town Framework Transport Strategy.

The design of the new layout at Loggans Moor is yet to be finalised.  It is subject to change as the project progresses through the required design stages. But the new arrangement has been approved in principle by Highways England.

Loggans Moor, is likely to be a very different type of junction to any other that we have in Cornwall currently.  It is known as a ‘hamburger’ signalised junction as it has some traffic lanes running through the centre of the junction.

In early 2019, Cornwall Council submitted a bid for Housing Infrastructure Funds (HIF). If successful, the £12.9 million would allow for the improvements project at Loggans Moor. In November 2019, Homes England confirmed the initial bid for HIF was successful. The bid is now subject to the meeting of some pre-start funding conditions. Since last year, Cornwall Council has been working with Homes England to discharge these conditions.

  • 2021 - 2022 – finalisation of design for Loggans Moor.
