  • A comprehensive, high-quality, cycle network connecting the Camel Trail to Lanhydrock Cycle Hub via Bodmin town centre and other key locations, with a spur to Callywith Industrial estate and a new link off the Camel Trail via Midway Road.
  • Improvement to the Church Square/Dennison Road junction by reconfiguring the current road layout to improve traffic flows through the creation of a low speed environment.
  • A new roundabout to replace the Priory Road/Launceston Road junction with improved access for pedestrians and cyclists.

The works were made up of 12 separate projects, ranging from minor highway changes to new junctions.

The most significant section of works were at the area of Dennison Road, Church Square and Turf Street which resulted in widened pavements, narrowed carriageways and new surfacing, including an attractive granite paved area at Church Square.

A new roundabout was also built at the Priory Road and Launceston Road junction to improve traffic flows and safety, including the movement and crossing of pedestrians and cyclists.

New shared use routes through Priory Park linking to St Petroc’s School providing safe access for children walking and cycling to school were constructed too.
